I need to come and write more specific stuff about the music styles I choose for this project (mainly ambient) but inside of the Ambient is many other styles, so here are some of the styles I have lined up for this music project:
AMBIENT
ELECTRONIC
TRIP_HOP
INDUSTRIAL
DUBSTEP
ETHNIC
DANCE (including Goa / Psy)
FLUTE PROJECT (a little project for a flute playing ;)
For now, I need to get these samples all organized and start to work on it .
Next more info ;)

Machine settings
If you read the chapters before, you know I lost all the settings of the machine and all the loops and samples I had uploaded on the software before, so I had to make it all over again but this time I did it differently.
I did (again) new tracks on Ableton to work in a machine as sound support but this is all about evolution, so I have made things different now.
Instead, to made (background sounds = Sound textures) on Ableton and uploaded in into the software, This time I started to make proper music styles and produce the tracks with spaces in between so I could use the kaossilator sounds and they do not crash.
I still need to make the new drum patterns in the machine. The first row is already made because I was producing some Dubstep last time and I wanted to listen to how would sound, so I made some changes in the drum patterns on the machine in the first row, the other ones will come with time ;)
This setting will be changed but for now, is how I have the machine set up:
These are the styles I have decided to make...
1- DUBSTEP ---- (I can do 30 tracks of each music style and I can do 6 different drum patterns for the 30 music styles in the machine only. ) Still the only ones I have worked a bit with the drum patterns of the machine
This is a process on going ;) Thank you ;)
2- INDUSTRIAL
Most parts of these samples and loops are taken from the first textures I did in Ableton on the first experiments with the machine ;)3- PSY TRANCE
Thanks, Mark Gray (soundmagus) my friend samples and QPA Qubensis psy audio. You guys are brilliant but I have work and I know now I have a very unique psy trance sound because of your loops and samples. This is a process on going ;) Thank you ;)
4- FSOL
This sample was taken from some EPs. I cut the samples from the tracks and uploaded the best parts ( for me) in the machine to loop and work on top.
HAA , Yes, you can call remix ;)
Samples were taken from various sources.
All the tracks I have uploaded (around 6) are my original tracks and they have been produced on Ableton and projected to be part of a live mix with the machine. (you will know more in the video)

Finlay, tracks are finished (some) .
Unfortunately, the tracks I uploaded in send space before were deleted, that happened because I didn't open a proper account, I just uploaded the tracks and after some time, if you do not open an account, they delete your files.
The tracks I uploaded, were the body of the all construction, so you didn't miss much, anyways you still listen to some of that work in the videos I upload and I have posted on this blog.
NOW... Things have changed!
The tracks do not sound the same, they are more worked and I have finished some of them and mastered them.
PLUS... I created a label for experimental music artists (like me) label is called:
N.C.P Records
(No Commercial Potential Records)
I have created this label page at Bandcamp page artists and I did upload the finalized tracks:
http://ncprecords.bandcamp.com/
There are 5 tracks on there for now and these ones I call (electric city - opus 1/2/3/4/5)
I can not say that the next tracks I will compose, will be in the same line as these ones but I will try to keep the style so I can have a shelf too ... ha ha ha ha ha
I hope you enjoy it ;)

I am making this fractal video to see how it works and because I always can send a message with the music.
To make these images, it take a long time and patience. The videos take lots of images too, so I will be short of images soon unless I get a different program to make fractals with different scripts.
I think is a good idea to have images and video at the same time. A big projector will be good.
The first video (altered states opus 4) was about art in Dadaism.
This one is about Albert Hofmann and Timothy Leary.
The images will tell you :)
Music, again, is a minimal progressive (live)
Please note that this is only the first track I am posting.
I have plans to make different music, not just the minimal, ambient, industrial, and experimental, I am doing at the moment.
Enjoy it ;)

The sounds in the tracks are progressive. This is live music and is not made on a computer, will take time to have all the tracks constructed.
In this track, you really can listen to what is called Improvisation (as all the tracks I do) but in this case, the start sounds go really off-beat.
Don't be scare, is not like that for long and again, it has a nice mental effect ;)
On this track, I did add some bass again.
This is (possibly) one of the most expressive tracks from this lot of tracks I did on this date but your comment will say if is true or not.
The background for this track is very tricky as it sounds off tempo but is exactly at the same (bpm) and makes a vibraphone sound very weird ;)

Second track.
This track starts like the first one (with the kaossilator sounds first and then the drums) the sounds are progressive and they take you slowly into a ritual meditation.
On this track, I use a bass background, which will contradict what I said before about having bass in this track.
This is electronic music for your brain, not for the dance floor ;)
Again, the track was recorded at once (live) no tricks or masterings or studio works.

Zoom into the Track Project
I gonna give a close look of what I do to construct a track.
(NOTE, This may change until I have the first track ready to show) but anyways, this is the main buttons I use to construct a track.
Composition:
1 Drum loop
3 backgrounds
3 different sound patterns on kaossilator
Drums

So, I have now 6 drum loops set in the 3rd line. I click the first button of the 3rd line and the drum loop start.
Background

The first 3 buttons are 3 different backgrounds, set to play with the first drum loop button. Now I have the drums and the first background playing at the same time (tempo - bpm).
Kaossilator

I have choose 6 or 7 sounds that go well with the drum and background. Is funny how the sounds of the kaossilator really transform all the felling of the track once I start to apply sound FX. Sure I can put more drums with the kaossilator if I want.
Mixer

After play around for some time , I change to the next background.
In this case, I stop totally the first background loop and leave the drums and the kaossilator working.together.
Now, I start the second background. Some times I need to start the background sound and stop a few times because is not always that I can get the sound to start exactly at the same tempo of the drums but usually, I get it right after 2 or 3 attempts and this makes a nice intro to the sound too.
Next, I hope I can post a track :)
I am delay this because is many things that can be explore and used in wavdj that I want to try everything before give the final result.
Will be here at some point !

Track Structure Resume
Expanding the things this way I believe is hard for some people to understand what I am really talking about.
Thats why I like resumes !
Its where you read the important things at once and dont need to go into the all story.
This is the resume of the Track Structure.
1- Drums
2- Background
3- Kaossilator
Drums
1 drum loop (64 or 128 bars)This drum loops all include percussions and they are all made in the program software.
* Read more about the drums here
http://wavdj.blogspot.com/2009/12/chapter-4-drum-loops.html
Background
This consist of a sound or noise looping at the same tempo of the drums. This background are totally independent of the drums and can be use with other drums (how far the drums are at the same bpm)
Because this part of the WAVDJ machine do not loop, I have to import the sounds to Ableton and in there put the sounds at the same bpm, include more sounds, include voices, and loop the sound for around 10 minutes to give enough space for improvisations.
* Read more about the FX part of the WAVDJ here the background loops are stored
http://wavdj.blogspot.com/2009/12/chapter-8-sound-fx.html
* Read about the backgrounds here
http://wavdj.blogspot.com/2010/01/chapter-14-background-sounds.html
Kaossilator
I pre-choose a group of 6 / 7 sounds similar with the background that is playing.Now I just start creating :)
Having the 2 parts of the wavdj (drums & FX - background sounds) and the kaossilator working at the same time, I can take sounds off and put on again, true the mixer of the wavdj
Lots of things have change and new ideas come in since I start write in this blog.
I create 2 tracks in ableton with no drums and I imported to wavdj, then I create 2 drum loops to go with the tracks but this time I create the drums in the software of the wavdj.
Questions ??
Next I will post a detailed Zoom of this 3 elements and explain exactly how I am working and what I am doing with the wavdj and the kaossilator.

Him and Her !!
Kaossilator
Now I have the background sounds in the buttons (by now I have 18 backgrounds)
and I have 6 different drum loops in the 6 drum buttons this make:
18 background sounds
6 drum loops
= 3 background sounds for each drum loop, like that I can change the background sound 3 times in 1 track.
They are all at the same 110BPM.
Putting all together and start to play....
After I have both playing at the same time, I start the kaossilator
As I go along with the sounds and loops , I can play with the mixer of the machine (wavdj) and have the drum loop ,on and off or the background sound or the kaossilator
This is a good help to dont have the same sounds looping for to long.
The kaossilator
I have been construct this track with a vision of a Industrial Ambient, so I haver been looking for Industrial sound loops for background and I make the Drum Loops to sound Industrial too but the sounds of the kaossilator
I recognized that my Drum loops are a bit too (breaks) even be at 110BPM.
(Later I will writ about the Track structure)
This explanation of the track construction, is just the result of my first experience, I probably will be changing things and the structure of the tracks , tempo or other.

Project Start - Backgrounds VS Drum Loops
I did talk about this in the chapter before but I still looking the best way for start the tracks.
The Kaossillator
On other hand ,this make a very interesting sound pattern in the melody and is always an improvised sound that will be arranged during the track
After I did some backgrounds and try, I realize that the backgrounds with rhythmic (nuances) sounds are more hard to get at the same drum tempo when I try to mix (background + drum loop) in the machine.
This difficulty didn't happen before with the first background sounds I did ,because they are not so much Industrial .
The first lot of backgrounds I did was more melodic , with long pads and they always go fine with the drum loops at first.
Basically, backgrounds have to be stable sounds and long, not short and rhythmic but I have choose some very rhythmic backgrounds for this Industrial tracks :(

Project Start - Drum Loops
Drum Loops
Part of the wavdj used to change the drums in the program.
I can change all the patterns in the drums , include percussions.
This feature is very limited (as all) the only thing that can be change is the BPMs and the loop patterns, but the instrument sounds will remain the same.
This is the loop part of the wavdj machine.
(here is the drum loops buttons on the machine. 6 different drum loops for each style)
Here is where the things get complicated as this loop machine is not synchronized with nothing.
For this reason ,the background sounds and drum loops have to be exactly at the same BPM.
Next mission is to get this two parts playing at the same time (drums & Background sound) , this require a lots of preciseness to click the button of the effects at the same time the first kick of the drum... Lets see !!
Go well :)
Where how I start the tracks before:
1- I have to start always with the drums
2- Then, I can start the background sound at the same tempo of the beat.
(This is because is no synchronization in the machine.)
But now I do like this:
1- I will use the KAOSSILATOR to make some noises at the start.
2- I start the drums,
3- I start the background sound.
4- I take off the KAOSSILATOR sounds and delete the first sounds to start new ones wile the first drum loop and background sound is playing...
YES !!
Track is on ;)

Project Start - Background Sounds
Background Sounds.
Part of WAVDJ (software) I used to change the sound FX (background) in the program.
To get samples and loops I look in the web and find some good resources for free loops and samples.
I did found lots of free samples and loops websites but its hard to find the type of sounds I looking for.
I did download some very good loops (industrial) and I will make a page just with links to mention this websites.
I have been search since I start this DADA Project (wish will have a different name for various reasons)
I take the Background sound (loops) to ableton and I stretch him, how long I want and I can ad other sounds or voices in the backgrounds as I change the tempo (bpm) of the sounds for they cam match with the drum looks of the machine as I dont have synchronize possibility on this machines.
I am doing the drum loops at 110BPM , so I want the loops I am doing in ableton come as 110BPM and I can stretch the loops for 30 min. this is because the EFFECTS BUTTON do not loop the sound
(the only looping part in wavdj is the drum machine) wish repeat the pattern over and over until I stop hem.
So, here is the first job... get nice loops and make long backgrounds in Ableton, next, save as wav file and upload to the program software (*first image)
Each sound I upload into that spaces will be playing in the (wavdj machine buttons) (*second image)
Backgrounds on'e go.)

Options
AC adapter ( DC4.5V )I have a look in youtube and I choose this video just to show, how the kaossilator work.
Thanks to Bratenstein
http://loops.bratenstein.de
Later I will try to make a video of the all happening and post on youtube.
For now, my mission is to get background sounds to add to the wavdj and make drum loops.
Kaossilator have drum loops already but I am making the drum loops direct in the wavdj software, this way I am able to drop the drums and the background sounds in and out any time I want and they dont need to be repeating all the time
The background sounds, I get from websites with free loops and samples and I am making a choice of the more similar sounds I need to make this music project.
This Background sounds (loops) I am doing with the help of ableton software before I add them to the machine.
Like that, I can make the loops long as I like and I can add different patterns and other sounds.
Back to Kaossilator
A part of all the technical explanations above, I have to specify something for people who dont know about this techy stuff:
The kaossilator have
7 sound category's
1- Leads
2- Acoustic
3- Bass
4- Chords
5- Se (FX)
6- Drum (single beats)
7- Drum (Patterns)
This is the basic 100 sounds
Scales (key)
Kaossilator have 31 different keys, like C / C#/ D / E #/ E# / G/ G# etc...
Some examples are:
Chromatic
Ionian
Dorian
Majore Blues
Major Pentatonic
Gypsy scale
Arabian scale
spanish scale
Egyptian Scale
Octave interval
And go on, and on, and on..........
Gate Arpeggio Patterns
This is effects that can be ad to the sounds a part from the normal effects wish cut the sound into short beats
The kaossilator have 49 different arpeggio patters
Mush more can be say about the kaossilator but for now, I think I did explained the best of my knowledge.
More about this in the next chapter ;)

Drums Pad
A Part from the drum loops in wavdj, the drum pads are other of the cool features of the machine.
They are 6 (pad) buttons
1- Tom 1
2- Tom 2
3- Crash
4- Hi Hats
5- Snare
6- Bass Drum
Very nice and can be useful if the buttons are working fine... but not !
When press, the pads give the sound late (as happen with the korg too)
I click the button and 1 second later, the sound is listen.
No way to make something with this...
If this was working as it should be, it would be great fun.
Again, after I know the machine very well, it is possible to play around with this faulty buttons too, is just a matter of time ;)
I can understand why this WAVDJ was discontinued !

Sound FX
The sound FX part of the WAVDJ is what excite me to make something with this.
Here I can have 900 sounds in wav and I can upload samples and loops into the machine.
This can be a FX wav file or a melody or a all track... I will use this part of the machine to upload the (background) sounds for the tracks I will be constructing.
(More about this later, for now I am just showing the parts of the machine)
The display show 30 FX buttons, each one of this buttons can have 30 sounds, wish makes the 900 sounds all together.
As default from the software, this effects are simple sounds like, BIRDS, this have 30 different bird sounds and etc...
Again, basic sounds but the good news is, this can be changed with any .wav sound file I want.
If I press BIRDS button for 5 seconds, The 30 buttons turn into 30 bird sounds , If I press SPACE, the 30 buttons will turn into 30 different space sounds ,etc...
Its a total of 900 different .wav music files that can be changed one by one.
