Hello friends.
I decided stop to posting on this blog as this was only a diary I maintained to keep posting the experiments I was doing with the WAVDJ - VM-108 Machine.
Am now taking things into a more professional approach and I have created a new blog (the official)
DaDa Project Blog
Basically, this blog was about a discontinued music machine and because I didn't have much access to upgrades of the machine and how to manipulate the thing, I had to create the blog and write all the experiences I was having with the machine until I decide how I was going to use the machine to make music.
Since 2009 I have been working on this machine VS Music project. As you may understand, the machine is not a professional 1000£ music piece of equipment... is a toy with many settings and is (nearly) totally adjustable to the needs of the person who makes music with it.
Basically, to use this (Toy) to make music, I was in need of other more expensive and professional (toys) to create music on a more professional level... as I did!
If you like to hear some of the first adventures with this machine I uploaded tracks on YouTube. These are made with the original drums of the machine and the help of the Kaossilator (as I do ;)

Maybe later I will open a Facebook page to showcase my work to a broader public and start to get some gigs to play out but still early stages to talk about that. Anyway, if you visit my official page you will see all my activities and ideology behind this project. If you ask yourself why I deleted all the posts, I would say...
I didn't delete the post! I only turned the post into a draft, this is because I was not writing on this blog in a proper writing way but as I was talking to myself type of thing.
I needed to register the experiments I was doing with the machine and sound and use it as a reference. So... I don't think is anything interesting for you to read in the old posts of this blog unless you have one of these machines too ;)
And so it starts the DaDa Project

First real steps
First real steps are taken.. I haven't posted on this blog since last year but I have not stopped working on this music project ;) Just to leave a note that I tried some of the new tracks and actually I mastered the music and did play live (at home during the day) Sounded Great.. 1 hour later I had the police ring my doorbell :/
Very soon I will post some of my music here and maybe later I will delete this blog and start a "professional looking" blog and start to accept bookings to play live (as at home can create problems)
WHY DELETE THIS BLOG?
I still not too sure about the name to use for this project as I have started to publish some music (not from this project) but from another project and am using the same name (dada project) so am afraid I have to change one of the names... I just still haven't decided yet!
What? What? What? :0 Oh yes.. am actually very happy with the final result and willing to show it to the world, the only problem is that this music project is built with samples and loops. I will not sell the music and I will have to attach a (copyright notice) any time I play the music. Am not sure but I don't know even if I will be allowed to show the work in the web. Don't we all love to live in democratic freedom !?
Anyway... my first attempts are about Ambient / Industrial Music scores - these are not ILLEGAL SAMPLES, they are free on the web for anyone to use but the problem with this sample music is the fact that people out there offering these samples for free and they revindicate the rights to the people that use it !?
And.. as usual, the law is always on the wrong side. On the other side, I did buy a recorder and I used to go out and record lots of sounds and people's voices (including the attitude expressed in the comments etc...) ;)
Whatever... This is sampling music and sampling music is an Art not recognised by society making this music construction to be considered a criminal act !? OOHH shit! I don't think music is a crime :/
Enough of bla bla bla... dah dah dah :0 am happy with the final result and soon I will be posted here a little recording I did (The live at home) wish is only 30minuts but shows exactly where the project is at the moment.
I have to say.. the first time I uploaded one of my tracks (in private) on Soundcloud, it was taken down right away by the (automatic copyright system) because the track had a sample from a Muslim chant... wish.. was nothing wrong with the sample and was recorder by a friend of mine wile she was in Holidays. She recorded the chant in his mobile phone and offered me the sample.
Anyway.. I revindicate the right of the music and the track was put back but... I can expect things like this will happen as I use many voice samples from old times radio and government speeches from 1920 and + hope some people do not like to listen :) haha Reality hurts some susceptible people and society doesn't like to look back to see the mistakes they have been making! Am very sorry... Dada Project music is about that!
Dada Project music is for the mind... is music to listen to is different is avant-garde is meaningless nonsense provocative intellectually controversial and most of all... is different, dark and experimental!
This project will create visions and emotions for to everyone concentrate on the music played. :)
